Payroll that posts itself into your books

Bukku is accounting, not payroll — on purpose. Run payroll in the software you already like, then connect it or import one file a month, and Bukku records salaries, EPF, SOCSO/EIS, PCB and Zakat for you. No double entry, no month-end spreadsheet.

How it works

Two ways in. Same entries out.

Most providers hand Bukku a monthly file; JustLogin connects directly. Either way there's nothing to babysit — payroll is processed where it always was, and the entries land in Bukku.

File importKakitangan · Talenox · PayrollPanda · MySyarikat
  1. Run payroll as usualPayslips, EPF, SOCSO/EIS and PCB calculated in your payroll software, like always.
  2. Export the payroll summaryThe same monthly report you'd hand to your accountant.
  3. Import it into BukkuAccounting › Journal entry › Import payroll file — pick the provider, tick what to record, set the dates. Done.
API syncJustLogin
  1. Connect onceIn JustLogin, switch on the Bukku integration and sign in with your Bukku API token.
  2. Map pay elements to accountsMatch each pay element to its debit and credit account in Bukku. Set it once and it sticks.
  3. Push each monthPick the payroll month from your approved pay runs and send it. The journal appears in Bukku — cost centres included, if you use them.

Either way, you stay in control

Payroll happens once a month and gets reviewed before it's final. Both routes respect that: nothing reaches your books until the pay run is approved and you say go — and the accounts it posts to are yours to choose.

  • Only approved payroll reaches your books
  • You choose the accounts, the dates and the cost centres
  • Nothing to re-authorise or keep alive between months
  • Switch providers without touching Bukku
What gets recorded

Every entry payroll needs — in one go

From a file import, tick the records you want — the expense in the right month, the payments on the days they left the bank. The JustLogin sync posts the payroll journal, every pay element mapped to your accounts.

Payroll record

Journal entry

The month's total payroll expense — gross salaries, employer EPF/SOCSO/EIS and the liabilities owed — recognised on the payroll date you choose, usually month-end.

Salary payments

Money out · per employee

One payment record per employee from the bank account you paid from, on the day you paid. Employees who aren't contacts yet are created automatically.

KWSP / EPF

Money out · KWSP

The month's EPF contribution, employee and employer share, paid to KWSP — clears the liability and updates your bank balance.

SOCSO / EIS

Money out · PERKESO

SOCSO and EIS contributions paid to PERKESO, recorded against the payroll liability on the payment date.

PCB / MTD

Money out · LHDN

Monthly tax deductions remitted to LHDN — including the employer's contribution where your payroll file has it.

Zakat

Money out · Zakat

Zakat deducted through payroll and paid to the zakat body, recorded as its own payment with the recipient tracked.

Set your payroll accounts once. Choose default salary, EPF, SOCSO/EIS, PCB and Zakat accounts in Company settings, and every import posts to the right place — or pick different accounts on the day.

Running your own books?

Payroll is usually the entry SME owners dread most — five accounts, four statutory bodies, every month. Now it's a file and a click.

  • Available on Seed and above — pick a plan that fits
  • Expense lands in the right month, payments on the right days
  • Your P&L and cash flow stay current without a bookkeeper's help
